New IUB paper on radio observations of galaxy clusters

A new paper associated with IUB has been published in the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society (MNRAS), one of the best international journals in the field of astronomy and astrophysics. The paper has been written by K. S. Trehaeven, an MSc student at the Department of Physics and Electronics, Rhodes University, South Africa. He analyzed the observations of five clusters of galaxies taken by MeerKAT, an array radio telescope located in the Karoo region of South Africa. The observations came from a 2018 proposal called ‘Mining Minihalos with meerKAT’ written by Khan Asad, PhD, assistant professor, IUB. The work is supported by South African Radio Astronomy Observatory.
