The minor in physics is open to students whose major is not physics. Students whose major is physics will choose one of the other minors offered by the university, preferably the 2 minors offered by the department: (1) Mathematics and (2) Astronomy and Astrophysics.
- Enrollment requirement: any student with a reasonable background in the natural sciences can enroll if they have a minimum CGPA of 2.5 and if they are not majoring in physics.
- Total minimum credit requirement to complete the minor: 15
- Minimum CGPA required for completion of the minor: 2.0 in a scale of 4.0
- Maximum number of semesters for completion: 6
- Category of courses:
- Mandatory: 6 credits
- Optional: 9 credits
