Abstract: Lorentz symmetry prevents the decay of a massive spin-1 particle into two massless photons, a result known as the Landau-Yang theorem . However, infrared effects in QED can break Lorentz symmetry spontaneously. Employing a construction by Mund et. al. which encodes this feature we propose an interaction which leads to $Z^0 \rightarrow 2 \gamma$, violating this theorem.
